YOUR INTRINSIC VALUE

Dear woman, you were created by God and at creation, He put worth in you.  

There is something that makes you up, and qualifies you to be a woman indeed.

Beyond your uniqueness and qualities, there is something called worth He has put in you.

What do I mean by worth? 

Worth is the intrinsic value of a substance.

That means, you have an intrinsic value.

There is something about you that God put on your inside that makes you a woman.

If it's absent or void in you, your worth is diminished.

Let's continue to explore this entity called worth for a better understanding of what I mean.

At creation, God must have definitely breathe into the nostrils of Eve the breath of life. If she was made of the ribs of Adam, she was definitely non-living at some point. Just like Adam was non-living until God breathe into his nostrils the breath of life (Genesis 2:7). This breath of life made them a living soul.

The breath of life is beyond oxygen and carbon dioxide. It is not just the element that makes for external respiration. It is the very core of the human creation that signifies moving from creation to redemption.

Until the breath of life was breathed into their nostrils, they remained non-living. So, the only thing that marks a man as a living soul is the presence of the very element that represents redemption —the breath of life.

If one is void of the breath of life, such is dead in the spirit, but alive in the physical. Such is literally a wanderer on earth, one who no longer has an intrinsic value.

Man is spirit, a spirit designed to remain living by the presence of His breathe. No wonder God said they would die if they eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17). That is, they would loose the breath of life— their intrinsic value, and become dead in their spirit. What point is a living body but a dead spirit? Dear woman, you are not your body, you are your spirit.

Job 33:4 - The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

This breath of life is the intrinsic value of every human but sin choked this life out of the spirit of man. 

The intrinsic value was lost at the fall, but glory to God for Jesus! The breath of life came in person and restored the intrinsic value of man. He proved this in John 20:22 — "and when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."

If the intrinsic value wasn't lost, if the breath of life wasn't void in the being of man, He wouldn't have need to restore it. This also signifies that the Holy Spirit is the breath of life but Jesus is the restorer and giver of the breath of life.

Saying no to Jesus is saying no to having the breathe of life restored to you. Saying no to Jesus is embracing death. Dear woman, without Jesus, your intrinsic value is lost and you're literally dead and alienated from the life of God. Your intrinsic value was lost at the fall. For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.

Having your intrinsic value restored comes from accepting Jesus —the Restorer and Giver of the breath of life — what makes you of worth, what makes you living, what makes you a woman, what makes you fruitful and effective as a woman, what makes you far above rubies indeed, what makes you a terror to the kingdom of darkness (that is why the devil had to rob them of this life in the garden), what signifies you are of God, what makes you up and what gives your life meaning and purpose.

There's intrinsic value to be restored! Are you ready? Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly. Just the confession of this prayer said with sincerity of heart and intentionality, believing that indeed Jesus is Lord, will get you saved.

"Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I acknowledge that I have lost my intrinsic value. Please, forgive me my sins, make me your own and give me your life. Amen."
